Attorney Timothy Peterkin
Attorney Timothy J. Peterkin was born in Red Springs, N.C. He received his bachelor’s degree in English from North Carolina Central University (NCCU) and his Juris Doctor from NCCU School of Law.
After serving for several years in the non-profit community, Attorney Timothy Peterkin decided to expand his ability to serve clients and opened up his law office, The Peterkin Law Firm, in Raleigh, N.C. The firm has accepted cases all over the state, including Wake, Durham, Wilson, Edgecombe, Nash, Forsyth, Granville, Cumberland, Hoke and Robeson Counties.
He then accepted employment as a professor at NCCU School of Law. Attorney Peterkin has returned to Robeson County to serve his community. Peterkin is known for fighting for his clients, while maintaining respect for the other parties in the case. He works very hard to resolve situations for the best interest of the children. He is well-respected in the legal community due to his cordiality and level-headed approach to the law.

Entrepreneurial experience
Attorney Peterkin started Law People USA, LLC, a legal training company for lawyers. For over 10 years, Attorney Peterkin has run this innovative company that has trained thousands of lawyers across NC. He has also ventured into residential and commercial real estate through his company, Handy and Clasi, LLC. His most recent venture involves working to open a restaurant. Additionally, he has created and still serves as the Executive Director of a non-profit, Community Made, Inc. Tis non-profit has given thousands in local high school scholarships and scholarships to aspiring and current law students.
Academic excellence
Attorney Peterkin has established himself as an academic scholar. He has published multiple scholarly articles and two books. He has served as a law instructor at North Carolina Central University School of Law and the University of South Dakota School of Law. Additionally, he is the resident senior lecturer with Law People USA, LLC, where he teaches courses to attorneys.
